How to play Hittime
You know the tune. Can you place it in time? Hittime is a free music game you play in your browser. The cards, music and scores are all on screen.
Build your own mix
Choose English, Hebrew, Russian, or any combination. The catalogue includes 750 songs across generations. Each player can use a different interface language in the same room.
Up to three people can play as guests with just a name. For a bigger group, only the host needs to register and verify their email. The game is free for everyone.
Three ways to play
Pass one device
Add everyone's names on a phone or tablet. Pass it around the table. The next clip waits until its player taps “Start my turn”. Connect a speaker if you like.
Own phones, shared sound
The host shows a QR code or sends a room link. Everyone places cards on their own phone; the music plays on the host's device or speaker.
Play from different places
Each player joins on their own phone and enables sound. Everyone hears the same clip. Use your usual voice or video call to chat alongside the game.
One turn, one song
- Listen for 15 or 30 seconds. The host chooses the clip length when creating the room.
- Choose a gap in your timeline. Everyone starts with one revealed card. Place the mystery song before, after or between your cards. You do not have to name the exact year.
- Confirm your answer. After the music, you have another 10 seconds. The countdown sounds get lower. If time runs out, the turn passes automatically.
- Reveal the song. See its artist, title and year. A correct position earns you the card.
Which year counts?
We use the first documented release of the selected recording, on a single, album or film. A remaster or digital reissue does not get a new year. Important differences between versions appear on the card after the answer. Songs from the same year can go in either order.
The timeline runs from earlier to later years in every interface language. Labels show the direction.
How to win
The first player to collect 10 cards, including the starting card, wins. Songs do not repeat within a pass through the deck. When it runs out, only unclaimed songs are shuffled. Earned cards stay with their players.
If all cards are claimed before anyone reaches ten, the highest score wins. Equal top scores mean a shared victory.
Save the moment
At the end, share a result link with your friends and scores, or prepare a vertical image for a Story. Registered players can find their last result and their games-played and wins counts in their account.
